No matter what time of the year you visit, you’ll find plenty to do!
Art Walk June 17, 2021
Bring your family and friends to explore artwork from over 70 local and regional artists, meet guest artists, experience interactive exhibits and demonstrations.
A full afternoon and evening of exciting activities for the whole family. Live music all up and down Main St, down to Canal Place. Admission is free.
Midsummer Night’s Picnic – July 15, 2021
Think Local, the City, the Little Falls YMCA, and the Little Falls Tourism Committee put on an all-ages event at Canal Place called a Midsummer Night’s Picnic.
Unlike Art Walk, most of the Third Thursday events are not really large enough to take place all over the City of Little Falls, so there is a focus on different areas of the city in different months.
Canal Celebration Aug 9-15, 2021
Garlic & Herb Festival – September 11, 2021
The Mohawk Valley’s climate and soils are ideal for growing garlic and herbs, which is why we have so many local producers. Ours is a non-profit agricultural festival; we aim to provide information to area would-be farmers and gardeners pertaining to the benefits of growing these crops. We also support the local arts community by including musicians and local artisans in our festival—and by donating a portion of the proceeds to our outstanding Canal Place neighbor and local non-profit Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts.
Bluegrass, Brews & BBQ Sep 18, 2021
The Little Falls Bluegrass Festival (Bluegrass, Brews & BBQ) offers music for all ages, celebrating creative expression and nurturing the art of songwriting. The one-day free festival will be held on September 18th, 2021 from 12 pm to 9 pm in the city’s historic Canal Place, an open-air family-friendly environment with continuous music, beer, and bbq throughout the day.
Cheese Festival – October 2, 2021
The Little Falls Cheese Festival is quickly becoming known as New York State’s premier gathering of cheesemakers, reminiscent of its early history as the nation’s cheese market capital. With 80 booths, 22 New York cheesemakers and over 120 varieties of cheese to sample, the 2019 festival drew an estimated 6,000 visitors to the community from all over the Northeast.
